Well I did not get far on my little Rudge!!
5 miles into Exe Valley Run through Wimple, popping and coughing, slowed to a stop.

Had a new plug so changed plug, looking on other side, fuel was leaking onto mag.
The copper fuel pipe had parted from the nipple connecting to float bowl.

"Game over" as they say, phone for recovery.

I was looking forward to this ride, as the little Rudge is new to me and I have spent many hour going
through this bike, which has not been on the road for >30 years.

Well as all on the run know it rained just a bit!!
I was stuck on the roadside for over 3 hours, eventually the AA arrived.

Notice the temp road sign in the picture! It made a very nice shelter.
One van driver and 2 nice ladies (one on a push bike) stopped to ask if I needed help.

Ride Safely in 2018

The aim of the Exeter British Motorcycle Club is to foster, encourage and maintain an interest in British Motorcycles; to provide technical assistance to its members, to meet one another and discuss motorcycling in a friendly atmosphere and
finally to establish and maintain good relationships between motorcyclists and the general public.
