RIDE WITHIN YOUR OWN AND YOUR BIKE'S CAPABILITIES.
|THE START AND FINISH POINT: The Sports Pavilion, Holly Close, Broadclyst, EX5 3JB (Broadclyst is on the B3181). From the South, at the Broadclyst Village Sign (green background), turn Right at the marked Y junction signposted Whimple. Pass Old Coach Road on the left and then at the sharp right hand bend take the fork to the Left (Woodbury View). After 200 yards turn Left into Woodland Road. Follow Woodland Road until you meet Holly Close. From the North, pass through Broadclyst until the signpost for Whimple. Turn left into Old Coach Road and then turn Left and continue on the route above. At the start/finish point Tea/Coffee can be obtained for a small donation to charity and toilet facilities are available.|
Booking in commences at 08.30am. Start 10.00am. Breakfast Stop 10.45am at Cullompton Rugby Club. Lunch Stop 1.30pm at The Anchor Inn, Exebridge. Leave Lunch Stop 2.30pm. Finish at Sports Pavilion 3.30pm for prizes and raffle completed by 4.30pm
|ON THE RUN:|
Riders will leave the start from 10am as directed so please be ready in time to depart. The start will be staggered in manageable groups, please follow directions as marshalled on the route. No marshall, means straight on. A map of the proposed route and route directions are available at the start, including waypoints as below. Alterations due to unforeseen circumstances may occur. About a third of the run is completed before the T stop at Cullompton Rugby club. The lunch break is at the Anchor Inn Exebridge at about two thirds distance and the last part of the circular route returns to the start for the prizegiving and signing off . Only those completing the route are eligible for prizes.The raffle is also drawn then, plus prizes for entrants. Raffle tickets can be purchased both at the start and the Lunch and T stops .
nb please be as quiet as possible , bear in mind it is a residential area. We can only hold these events with the tolerance of the community.
|SAFETY AND BREAKDOWNS: |
All entrants and marshals are requested to ride safely and abide by the Highway Code. A safety vehicle will follow up the run as directed by the Chief Marshal. The use of this facility is at the motorcycle rider/owners risk.
|SIGNING ON AND LEAVING THE RUN: |
On arrival at the start please sign on and collect your Run Number. Please return your run number either at the finish, or if you intend to break off and not complete the run. (Kindly also inform an official if leaving the run early).
At the start/finish point Tea/Coffee can be obtained for a small donation to charity and toilet facilities are available. Breakfast will be served in the Cullompton Rugby Clubhouse where toilet facilities are available. The usual Public House facilities are available at The Anchor Inn Lunch Stop including a carvery lunch if required.
|TROPHY PRESENTATIONS AND RAFFLE: |
Trophies will be presented for the best motorcycle in each class. Other trophies will be presented for best Club Bike and Best Overall plus some special awards. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the T Stop, Anchor Inn and the finish. The Club will be grateful to anyone who can contribute any raffle prizes (Please).
